This device restores the faulted area within a few seconds in transmission network and improves
the reliability of the power supply.

APRS, installed in a substation for radial-type EHV power system network, precisely locates and separates the faulted area, when faults occur, and performs the power flow calculation in real-time and finds the optimal path for power supply and thus automatically restores the black-out area.

This system does not need high capacity circuit breaker while the existing circuit breaker could be used as it is thereby saving the maintenance cost for the power system and promoting reliability of power system by reducing the time of black-out area into a few seconds compared with few times tens of minutes requires by manual maintenance
